Although I have only read about half of Zapper Z's thread on how to become a physicist, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. And I am glad to see that MathWonk has started a similar thread for aspiring mathematicians. I think that PF should have one of these guides for all the fields discussed on this site. I am majoring in EE and would love to see a thread written by people that have already completed school and can give advice on things that up and coming EE's should know.

Perhaps berkeman would like to write something like that.

I second this.

If someone has time for it, I'll third that.

I'll fourth that!

Great. Who is going to write it. I know that berkeman is a successful electrical (or maybee computer) engineer. I would love to see what he has to say.

I'll 5th it, if it makes a difference.

Advice on how to become a successful EE? Hmmm.. It's a pretty vague topic.

Besides, one should not take this "copy cat"-thing too far...We already have enough threads on "so you want to be an ..."

The info on becoming an EE can easily be incorporated in the ZapperZ-thread...EE is a very broad field.
