SolidWorks worm reducer analysis tutorial needed

Click For Summary
The discussion focuses on the need for a tutorial on performing mesh and constructional analysis of worm drive reducers in SolidWorks, specifically for a gear ratio of 1:27. The complexity of the task is highlighted, suggesting it may require extensive knowledge typically covered in a college-level course. The user is seeking guidance for a project related to an assembly robot arm. There is a concern about the difficulty level of the analysis needed for the design. Overall, the conversation emphasizes the challenge of finding adequate resources for this specific engineering task.

I've calculated my gear ratio to be 1:27 and the most suitable reducer for it would be a worm drive.
I couldn't find any descriptive tutorials to do the mesh and perform constructional analysis of the gears on SolidWorks. Can you help me?

What you're describing might take an entire college-level course of study. Is this being done for a senior design project?

Really? Is it that complex? I just thought to design a reducer to finish up my assembly robot arm.

Had my central air system checked when it sortta wasn't working. I guess I hadn't replaced the filter. Guy suggested I might want to get a UV filter accessory. He said it would "kill bugs and particulates". I know UV can kill the former, not sure how he thinks it's gonna murder the latter. Now I'm finding out there's more than one type of UV filter: one for the air flow and one for the coil. He was suggesting we might get one for the air flow, but now we'll have to change the bulb...
