AI Thread Summary
A cylinder of mass m is positioned in a carriage on a 30-degree incline, with 45-degree angles on either side. The discussion revolves around calculating the maximum acceleration up the incline that prevents the cylinder from losing contact at point B. One user suggests the answer might be 0.366g, prompting others to request the reasoning behind this calculation. After some back-and-forth, it is confirmed that the answer provided is indeed correct. The conversation emphasizes the importance of showing work to facilitate understanding.

A cylinder of mass m rests in a supporting carriage. angles either side of cylinder are 45 degrees. the carriage is on an incline of 30 degrees, calculate the maximum acceleration a which the carriage may be given up the incline so that the cylinder does not lose contact at B. right hand side. will email picture if requested. ?
