Reproducing human hands in painting and sculpture marks the difference between amateur and expert performance. Time spent carving notwithstanding, this is excellent work.

One could comment on the irony of human hands reproducing a human hand in the bole of a dead tree, wondering if the sculptor used their own hand as model. The hand appears carved from redwood with laurel in background (?), hence Northwest Pacific Coast?

That was time well spent.
I'm prepared to fund that sort of investment.

I do notice that it is a right hand, and that it has all the fingers.

I agree it looks like redwood, so yes, presumably Northwest Pacific Coast somewhere.
