Thanks Feature and/or Reputation

I think that this awesome website would be even cleaner if users didn't have to make 1-line posts saying "Thank you." Yes, gratitude is a virtue, but things would be less spammy if we have a Thanks Feature like at AoPS.com or a reputation feature.

We already have a repution feature: the Science Advisors and Homework Helper medals.
