What is the effect and what is the significance of the frost line that is presently located in the middle of the asteroid Belt? What Coincidence is there pertaining to the separation between Gas Giants and terrestrial planets. I know that it is the point where ice was able to freeze during the beginning of the formation of the solar system. Before this point, water was either in vaporized or aqueous form. How is understanding the frost line important to understand the formation of the solar system.

The frost line is the innermost radius at which lots of ice can condense.

Lots of ice -> bigger planets -> hydrogen and helium won't escape -> even bigger planets -> gas giants.
