SUMMARY

The two-photon absorption coefficient of silicon can be calculated for specific wavelengths of 1030nm, 515nm, and 343nm. A recommended reference for this calculation is the study by M. Dinu et al., published in Applied Physics Letters, volume 82, page 2954 in 2003. This study provides essential methodologies and data relevant to the two-photon absorption characteristics of silicon. Utilizing this reference will yield accurate results for the specified wavelengths.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of two-photon absorption phenomena
  • Familiarity with optical properties of silicon
  • Knowledge of wavelength-dependent absorption coefficients

Hi,

is there a way to calculate the two-photon absorption coefficient of silicon?

I am especially interested in the two-photon absorption coefficient of silicon for the wavelengths 1030nm, 515nm and 343nm.

Thanks for any help!
