2023 : Researchers discover why Roman concrete is so durable. It contains little lumps of quicklime. When cracks form in the concrete, water intrudes. It reacts with the quicklime and fills the crack, making the concrete self-healing.

2024 : A specialized dodecahedron found in Roman ruins has puzzled the world for centuries. This individual found they could be used to weave Roman-style fancy chain out of wire. He figured it out when he saw the chains in a museum. I'm convinced.
I'd say it was rope made of wire, but chain is what it is called.
A minor mystery was also solved. The Roman method of styling hair was unknown. Such hairstyles may be produced using needle and thread.
