Hi abhishek.93! Welcome to PF!

From http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/point_function, a point function is …
Any function whose values are points

So a point function from the real numbers (R) is a curve, a point function from R2 is a surface, and so on.

I wanted to find out what a "ponit" function was!

An important example of a "point function" is the function that assigns, to every non-negative real number t, the point on the unit circle on a Cartesian coordinate system at distance t around the circumference of the circle, counterclockwise or if t< 0, the clockwise.
