Homework Statement

Prove whether the below equations are linear or not.

(iii) U = P^2 -> V = P^6; (Tp)(t) = (t^2)p(t^2) + p(1).
(iv) U=P^2 -> V =P^6;(Tp)(t)=(t^2)p(t^2)+1.

Homework Equations

None.

The Attempt at a Solution

I really don't know.

Thanks

I think you need to show us an attempt to use the definition of "linear".
