Hi all,

Recently I read an article called the "History of noise" by Leon Cohen, and liked it a lot. It's essentially of a review of the developments that have taken place in the study of Noise over the past century. I realized that review articles are a great way to get a bird's eye view of the advances in a given field/sub-field.

Could anyone suggest other good review articles you might have come across. It could from any area in physics, but should be readable.

Thanks.

Thanks a lot! I did go through the websites, but the problem is precisely that there are WAY too many articles. It would be better if you or the others in the forum, could suggest good review/history-of-science articles which you had personally come across.

Thanks.

Any topic in Physics and Mathematics would be good.

I think it's easist first to watch a short vidio clip I find these videos very relaxing to watch .. I got to thinking is this being done in the most efficient way? The sand has to be suspended in the water to move it to the outlet ... The faster the water , the more turbulance and the sand stays suspended, so it seems to me the rule of thumb is the hose be aimed towards the outlet at all times .. Many times the workers hit the sand directly which will greatly reduce the water...
