What are the available methods to separate particles

Hello!
What are the available technologies to separate small particles from a flow of gas?
I assume that if the particles are magnetic we can apply a magnetic field?
Any other methods?
And what if they're not magnetic?

The first things that come to my mind are filtering or adsorption (e.g., with zeolites).

If you want the particles to be extracted rather than simply ending up in a filter, cyclonic separation may be a solution:
