What are the benefits of pursuing a degree in Physics with a minor in Math?

Hi! I have just decided to change my major, and am now pursuing a bachelor's degree in Physics. I am also working on a math minor. I'm interested in many fields in physics, and I am starting to develop ideas for my senior research paper and for my honors thesis. I am also working on applying for several REU programs in this summer.
