Discussion Overview

The discussion centers around the properties and characteristics of the carbon dioxide lattice, specifically in its solid form (solid CO2). Participants explore various aspects including crystallographic data and the different phases of solid CO2 under varying pressures.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Technical explanation

Main Points Raised

  • One participant seeks information about the carbon dioxide lattice, clarifying they are referring to solid CO2.
  • Another participant suggests that databases of crystallographic data, such as the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre, may provide useful information.
  • It is noted that solid CO2 can exist in several interesting phases depending on the pressure conditions.
  • A participant references external sources, including a paper and a website, that may contain relevant data on the phases of solid CO2.
  • A later reply expresses appreciation for the information shared, indicating it was found to be interesting.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

The discussion does not appear to have any explicit disagreements, but it remains open-ended with various points raised about the properties of solid CO2 and its phases.

Contextual Notes

The discussion may be limited by the participants' assumptions about the availability and accessibility of crystallographic data, as well as the specific conditions under which solid CO2 phases are examined.

You mean solid CO2?

Yes i mean solid CO2

There are databases of crystallographic data, I suppose that' the place to look. Something like Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre for example.
