Homework Statement

I am doing an egg drop project write up, and one of the components is to draw a general egg drop device diagram, and to write down the general forces which would act upon the egg drop device, both inside it, and outside it. Any suggestions?

Some forces I have thought of have been gravity, air resistance, momentum, friction (in the device), and that's about it. Any other suggestions?

Okay, gravity and air resistance are definitely forces to consider.

However, momentum isn't a force. How is friction in the device a factor? Wouldn't the egg be secured inside so it couldn't move about?

Sadly, in our device, we added a couple too many straws, therefore the egg moved about in the device a little. So, for a general device, we would like to take Into account human error with the building, hence, friction.
