Hi. I'd like to learn more about physics, and especially about how the newest discoveries are affecting other sciences, such as chemistry, computer science, electrical engineering, etc... -doug

Welcome to PF!

Thank you! It's good to be here. Is there a section for theoretical physics? ie string theory, Heisenberg, Schrodinger, etc.

String theory is "Beyond the Standard Model."

Heisenberg uncertainty principle, Schrödinger's equation, Schrödinger's cat etc. are plain old boring Quantum Physics. :oldwink:

Hi everyone, I'm just a physics enthusiast. I took some first-year courses a long time ago, but I wasn't able to continue, so I don't have a degree. Still, I'm really passionate about the subject and try to keep up with it as much as I can. I mostly study in my (limited) free time, going through books I didn’t get the chance to read when I was younger. Thanks for your attention!
