What major aligns with my interests in body enhancement and technology?

Here are the following abilities I want to have with my major:
1. To pursue ways for body to absorb more oxygen or perhaps become more fuel efficient, or even be able to run on alternate fuel system?
2. To discover an experience recording device, so one doesn't have to live to experience something, similar to a movie, one person can just live through it.
3. To technologically break through the limits of our body - supermind, greater sensitivity to emotions, etc.

Would a major in Biotechnology be it? How many years would I have to go into it? Thanks.

Sounds like you want to major in science fiction. An English major could probably have a concentration in that.

While I agree with the above poster that what you're looking to work at seems a little fantastical, I think you might be well served by looking into Neuroscience degree programs.

For 1. you might want to do research in some kind of sports science or biology that relates to that kind of thing. Some kind of biochemistry major maybe?

For 2. definitely something like neuroscience. You might be surprised that there is actually a program that researchers use that give a crude picture of what people see by interpreting what comes from the actual brain, and researchers are doing research by interfacing electronic devices to the brain. It's very crude, but never the less it is being done.

For 3. again probably neuroscience.

At least your willing to accept that it may not be done in your lifetime, which is the important balancing factor. Having a sort of blind optimism can make a huge difference between not doing anything at all and doing something even minute that gets toward the goal at hand, and in saying this I wish you the best of luck.

Anyways, its so sad that 1 major doesn't cover everything because my aim was same in all of them, to accelerate our evolution through adding technology into our body, not to be confused with tools like shoes, but something that blends with body to such an extent that its affects can be compared to mutation.

Ex. Making us smarter, removing sleep, slowing age, controlling emotions, etc.

EDIT: I could maybe Double Major...1 being Neurosciene, another being?

Or if I end up doing Ph.D. into Neuroscience, maybe I could focus on the aspect of how brain ages and try to keep it alive??

Realistically, what do you see yourself researching in 5 years that is being researched right now?

Forget about focussing about research. You (as a layman) have no idea what people do in research right now. And you have no idea whether you would like it or not. Research as described in your OP does not happen.

They way to choose a major is actually to see what kind of field you want to learn more about. Did you like biology in high school?? Does biology and the study of living beings appeal to you?? Then do biology.
Do you like the way nature works and do you want to discover the basic laws? Then do physics.
And so on.

Focus right now on what you want to find out more about. Research will come later. Furthermore, the chances of ending up in research and you liking the research are not so large. And the chances of ending up working on something that "makes the body more fuel efficient" are zero.

Don't try to think about what you like to invent. Try to think about what you like to know more about.
