Where did my log off button go?

The log off button on Android phones may not be immediately visible in the user menu. Users can access the logout option by rotating the phone sideways, which reveals the hidden menu. Tapping just to the left of the Conversations envelope icon can also trigger the menu to display the logout option. This behavior has been confirmed by multiple users on Android devices. The logout function is accessible by tapping the word-link that appears in the menu.

Try turning it sideways. That's the only way I can get access to the log out option under the USER menu.
 
It's may be still there, just not visible. That's the behaviour on my phone, anyway. I can tap just to the left of the Conversations envelope icon and the menu pops up even though, like you, I see no icon there.
 
I tried this on an android mobile device and find confirmed, that to logout when signed-in to physicsforums, touch-tap the bar along the top just to the left of the 'envelope' button; and a display will appear, showing "logout", and just touch that word-link and logout will occur.
