I am guessing a). If the current is high enough then the ampmeter is going to get damaged because the electrons are only going through the ampmeter. At first I though c) was wrong but it is right because the circuit has a resistance

Yes. You have it right.
Amp meters offer little resistance, so you don't want to place them across a voltage.
On the other hand, volt meters present a very high impedance and so have little effect on electric currents.
