Just asking the PF members out of interest (and because this stupid Dragonforce song won't go away). Which songs always get stuck in your head?

No songs, but Saint-Saens' Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso was playing in my head over and over again for the past couple of days.

Right now I have: Step up, Step, Step up, Step up, Step, Step, Step, Step up, almost on repeat  It is part of a song called Step In The Arena by Gang Starr.

I've got Simone White's American War stuck in my head, and I like it.

Right now, it's "It Never Rains" by Dire Straits, especially the lines "It's a sad reminder when your organ grinder has to come to you for rent, and all you have to give him is the use of your side show tent"

Number 2 just popped in "Developers developers developers developers...".

"Let it snow"

"Money for Nothing" - Dire Straits
This song ruined my exams for me... I am thinking of a flipflop connected to a register and it's chicks for free!

Mmm, I love the little guitar riff after that line!

Edit: Not guitar; Hammond organ.

If you don't currently own their live CD "On the Night" get it! I hesitated because I owned every other CD, and all the songs were covered by studio versions. I'm glad I bought it! In many cases, the live versions are FAR better, especially the guitar-work on "You and Your Friend". As a guitarist, I pay special attention to that instrument. If you want to hear Knopfler's predecessor, get some of JJ Cale's electric stuff. It'll knock you out.

Short People got no reason
Short People got no reason
Short People got no reason
To live

They got little hands
And little eyes
And they walk around
Tellin' great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little feet

Well, I don't want no Short People
Don't want no Short People
Don't want no Short People
Round here

There's a local Christmas-only music station here (during December). Every morning I pick up a new obsession - today it's Jingle Bells.

Not looking not looking. Can't make me read this thread. It's a cerebral Trojan Horse.
La la la la la la la la

Whenever Windows XT shuts down, it does a symphonic flourish of four notes. These are the same notes to the refrain "Cars." So after I leave work, I always have:
"here in my car
I feel safest of all
I can lock all my doors
it's the only way to live, in
cars."
