SUMMARY

Albert Einstein did not have any doctoral students, as confirmed by multiple participants in the forum discussion. Despite claims that he may have had a few PhD students, the consensus is that he had no formal doctoral students. The discussion also highlights the discrepancy in how prominent figures are represented in academic genealogy, with some suggesting that lesser-known scientists have their students listed while Einstein does not. A link to a genealogy site was provided for further exploration of mathematicians' academic lineages.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of academic genealogy
  • Familiarity with the significance of Einstein's contributions to physics
  • Knowledge of PhD student-advisor relationships
  • Awareness of the limitations of Wikipedia as a source
NEXT STEPS
  • Research academic genealogy databases like the Mathematics Genealogy Project
  • Explore the biographies of prominent physicists and their academic influences
  • Investigate the historical context of Einstein's career and its impact on his mentorship
  • Examine the criteria for listing PhD students in academic records
USEFUL FOR

Historians, educators, and students of physics interested in the academic lineage of influential scientists, as well as anyone researching the mentorship roles of prominent figures in academia.

Can anyone name all the people who did their phd under Albert einstein (there may be three or four but i don't know those scientists names)

Science news on Phys.org
Sure. I already have. He didn't have any doctoral students.

Are you sure?... I heard that he "DID" had, not many but he did...

Anyone else know their names? Please reply...I just want their names

Not that I'm saying Wikipedia is always correct or complete, but if you'll notice, there are many people of much less importance than Einstein with their PhD students listed. They even list his name as one of this guy's PhD students. Although possible, I think it it very unlikely that he would be listed as the student of another, before having his own students lists, given the importance of his contributions to his field.

Deepak Kapur... is that you? Anyway, TylerH isn't joking... he's absolutely correct. Where did you "hear" that he did?

I heard he had one from Iran, India or some other asian region, If not phd student then how about advisory? how about prominent student in general (not necessary phd)...I read few names but do not remember from where...just asking for help here
