The discussion highlights an issue with the "preview" feature not displaying compiled LaTeX equations before posting threads. Users find this problematic as it leads to multiple edits after the initial post, which can disrupt the reading experience. The issue is noted to be related to performance, as the LaTeX rendering only activates when there is existing LaTeX on the page. A user suggests refreshing the page (F5) as a temporary workaround and mentions previous discussions on the topic for further reference. The forum moderator acknowledges the concern and indicates plans to address the issue.

Hi people,

not sure whether I am the only one but when using the "preview" feature after writing up a thread, it does not show the compiled Latex equations. This means I have to post the thread first and correct the various Latex errors via multiple edits (which is not a problem for me, but it certainly is annoying for people that start to read the thread).

Using Firefox 104.0 (64-bit) for Ubuntu if that matters...

It's likely the fact that it won't load unless there is already some latex on the page. This is to help with performance, but I'm going to look into fixing this soon, thanks for the note.
