It makes us feel smart:). In terms of this forum though, the community is based off of the exchange of information and learning about other people and perspectives. Information is why we are all here and it creates a nice environment (most of the time).

Perhaps a more direct question would have been, "are there any good reasons not to share your knowledge?"
 
Because knowledge is power! Power to the people! x)
