Hello all. I was wondering - what is the smallest possible quantum of charge? Is it 'e', the charge on an electron? Then how are the charges on quarks explained? Am I right in thinking that the one quantum of charge is the smallest charge that can possibly exist? AJ

CMU has a pretty good physics program. The freshman introductory physics honors class (which follows the book Matter and Interaction by Chabay and Sherwood) is very enjoyable. It exposes the students to the fundamentals right from the beginning. Definitely look into it. AJ

He could try for CMU. Its slightly easier to get into CMU than MIT. In Canada, Waterloo and Toronto are probably the best places for Computer Science. I'm going to CMU this fall for engineering
