Compatibility comparison: ethyl alcohol vs. denatured alcohol
Why not? Ethyl acetate and methyl isobutyl ketone are pretty nonpolar solvents. Several rubbers and plastics impervious to ethanol are easily damaged by both of these solvents. The OP said "regularly washed in a bath of ethanol", so I assumed exposure time = indefinite ("bathed" in the ethanol)... -

Compatibility comparison: ethyl alcohol vs. denatured alcohol
And so can ethyl acetate and methyl isobutyl ketone -- from the OP! Hence why I said Secondly, Everything depends on the concentrations of denaturants involved, not just their compositions. (Unfortunately, Walgreens does not specify concentrations...) Thirdly, If the OP can well handle... -

Grad School or Not: Is it Feasible After College?
Hey guys, I'm a senior at UC Santa Cruz, double major in Computer Science (B.S) and MCD Biology (B.S.) (i.e., Micro-, Cell, and Developmental Biology). Pretty much, I'm trying to get a job after college when I graduate in June, (can involve anything covered by either field). Ideally, I...- bomba923

What is the Volume of a 50g Oxygen Gas Sample at 1.20 atm and 27°C?
Not quite -- 1) Oxygen is a diatomic gas (O2) 2) Check your units -- your gas constant (and consequently the volume) is off by (about) two orders of magnitude! _For your units, the gas constant is approximately 0.0821 L*atm/(K*mol)- bomba923

Luminol and synthesis (mechanism of the reaction)
Roughly put, 1) Lone pair on hydrazine attacks carboxylic carbon 2) Proton transfers from hydrazine to carboxylic -OH 3) Condensation: one water molecule (i.e., protonated hydroxyl) removed (& formation of amide bond) 4) Repeat steps 1-3 for the other carboxylic acid group, with the remaining...- bomba923
