Does back pressure give incorrect flow reading?
flow = a2*sqrt(2*ΔP/(density*(1-pow((a2/a1),2)))); where Q is the flowrate, ΔP is the pressure difference between the two nozzles, A1 and A2 the outer and inner diameters respectively, and ρ the density. A higher reading was...- CadisEtramaDiRaizel

Does back pressure give incorrect flow reading?
No, it is attached to nozzles present on each side of the constriction.- CadisEtramaDiRaizel

Does back pressure give incorrect flow reading?
I have to build a digital peak flow meter. I have two models based on calculations ( ideal). I have noticed that the flow rate on the model with a tighter constriction has a greater value than that of a much broader constriction. While testing it out, i noticed air resistance from the first...- CadisEtramaDiRaizel

But it's airflow, wouldn't the nature of the fluid ( being water or any other liquid) impact calibration?- CadisEtramaDiRaizel

Efficient Venturi Tube Calibration for Digital Peak Flowmeters | Thesis Design
I've designed a venturi tube for my thesis ( Design of a digital peak flowmeter). I was wondering if there was a way to calibrate the flowrate, without using a measured flowrate producing device. The current error is about 12.3%. Theoretical 610L/min vs experimental 535L/min.- CadisEtramaDiRaizel

How to measure flowrate using a differential pressure sensor
I believe flow rate = cross sectional area x fluid velocity Im not sure about the pressure vs velocity pressure = force/area force= mass x acceleration velocity = integral of acceleration so pressure= ( mass x velocity x time) / area- CadisEtramaDiRaizel

How to measure flowrate using a differential pressure sensor
Initially i thought of just measuring the pressure at one of the inlet ( using it as a gauge pressure sensor). Hence, i would get the pressure readings and then just graph them. But it does not tell me the volume metric flow, and that data probably isn't useful. Differential pressure sensor...- CadisEtramaDiRaizel

How to measure flowrate using a differential pressure sensor
I have to build a digital peak flow meter. I ve read that you can measure the volume metric flow rate using a differential pressure sensor. H ow do i go about doing so. The peak flow meter will be used to measure asthma.- CadisEtramaDiRaizel
