How Do S-Parameters Affect Attenuation in WG Transitions and Circulators?
When you say you get 5.2 dB and another reads 4.8 dB, are you saying you have 2 identical pad/coupler/whatever? It could be just variations along between one device to another. There is something call mismatch loss and it related to S11, ML = 10 \log_{10} (1-|\rho|^2).- Corneo

How Do S-Parameters Affect Attenuation in WG Transitions and Circulators?
You should look at the S21. If you want to know the loss between transitions, just measure it on a network analyzer, however this could get tricky in terms of calibrating on a VNA though.- Corneo

US Job market outlook for EE/CE?
Apply for internships during the summer so you can gain valuable work experience. This also gives you an idea whether or not you would want to work in that particular of EE/CE or not. Use the internship to market yourself later on for full time employment. There will always be jobs in the US...- Corneo

How Elctric signals are converted into Electormagnetic signals?
Your question is very general, but I will take a shot at it. An antenna can be viewed as just another circuit element, along with the other elements you already know about. Moreover an antenna can be viewed as a transducer - converting voltages and currents to fields. Take a simple dipole...- Corneo

Charging Capacitor with 12v battery
I have no idea as well. Don't people know high voltages could be dangerous to their health? I recall a time at work I opened up an instrument to work on it from the inside. I made the mistake of wearing my metalic watch. Typically nothing is exposed, but I had the shields off so I can monitor...- Corneo

PMOS Working Concept: Vgs (th) -5V Source Follower Mode Output
Thats because you shorted the gate and the source together. They are tied to -5 Volts with respect to ground but not -5 volts with respect to source.- Corneo

Comparing Two Circuits: Can We Say Low Pass Filter?
What good is source transformation? Honestly I don't know. I have never ever had to use it at in career so far (2 years). If you want to cascade the filter, you could just place the next filter in parallel to the resistor and cap, the currents sources would add. The resistors would combine in...- Corneo

Comparing Two Circuits: Can We Say Low Pass Filter?
Yes. Somewhere buried away in your textbook is something call source transformation. If you have a voltage source with a series resistor, you can transform it to a current source in parallel with the same resistance. The current source is simply the original voltage source divided by the resistor.- Corneo

: 50mA-500mA constant Dc current source
I was getting that feeling as well. If I remember correctly the sketch of the circuit that the OP posted is from a design article from ED magazine (I think the author was Jim Williams). I first came across the article and could not see how the author arrived for the equation for the current...- Corneo
