Using 18% by weight ammonium hydroxide to make 16ppm aqueous solution
TL;DR Summary: Used M1V1=M2V2 but am unsure if formula applies I feel like I could use M1V1=M2V2 but the 18% by weight ammonium hydroxide is confusing me so much. Density of ammonium hydroxide 18% is 0.926 g/cm3 18%V1=16mg/L*200L (18mg ammonium/100 mg of total solution) * V1 = 3,200mg...- Frankenstein19

Chemistry Converting scfm to lb/hr, which density should I use?
For air for example at conditions 150 F and 125 psig, density is 0.61lb/ft3 At standard conditions it's 0.0765lb/ft3 If I convert 500 cfm to scfm, does this mean I should multiply by 0.0765lb/ft3*60min/hr to convert to lb/hr?- Frankenstein19

Undergrad Laplace transform linearity problem
I've included the problem statement and a bit about the function but my main issue is with the equation after "then" and the one with the red asterisk. I don't understand why the Laplace transform for a u(t)*e^(-t/4) isn't (1/s)*(1/(s+1/4)). The book I am reading says it's(1/(s+1/4)).- Frankenstein19

Fluid Mechanics: resultant force of oil and water on a door
Homework Statement Homework Equations The Attempt at a Solution [/B] My questions: 1. By resultant force, does that mean the force exerted on the side of the water + force exerted on side of the oil? Because I'd think that the force on the side of the water would be different than the...- Frankenstein19

How Do Controlled Sources Impact Thevenin Equivalent Calculations?
Yikes. ok so if i apply kcl on va i between the resistors i'd have: (va+24)/3ohm + (voc-va)/6ohm=1.33va since i have 2 variables i need 2 eq and doing kcl on voc: (voc-va)/6ohm -24V/9ohm= 1.33va I get that va is 2.29 and voc is 36.58- Frankenstein19

How Do Controlled Sources Impact Thevenin Equivalent Calculations?
Homework Statement [/B] Homework EquationsThe Attempt at a Solution First I found the equivalent resistance since the 3 ohm resistor and 6 ohm resistor are in series. 9ohm. Then I did chose the node where the arrow points to as Voc, which is also va. KVL: (va+24V)/9ohm=1.33va I get va to be...- Frankenstein19

Equivalent resistance in a Wye formation
30! Haha bless your soul for spoon feeding this to me. But I'm still a little confused as to why I'd suppose there was a source connected to the output terminals. I wasn't doing that with previous exercises. (I'll try it though to confirm)- Frankenstein19
