I have two 30x10mm2 Earth busbars in switchboard, both are placed on insulators, but connected through various parts of switchboard (ground terminal, rails, door, mounting plate...) What is the minimal conductor cross section allowed for connecting this two busbars directly?
Yeah of course. In that case, can you give explanation why we can use one busbar above other or why we can't. Is insulator's strenght too week for this type of arangement or not?
OK, I understand.
If you google some of the key words: busbar system, busbar spacing insulators, etc...you will get a lot of examples with vertical, horizontal or stairway busbar systems, but there will be no picture which represents the situation from my question.
Now, please give me a source...
Did you seen it somewhere?
You can everywhere buy horizontal, vertical or stair type of busbar insulators, but nowhere something like that. I guess that those red insulators have low mechanical strenght in regards to short circuit power between two bars. I asked it because I always see three...
Why we use such connection between 4 and 5 terminals? Why the transformer isn't connected via 2 and 4 terminals from CB, the voltage will still be 380V because it's between two phases? In such situation the terminals 5 and 6 will stay unused, why not on this way?
Tnx,
So, in such situation if I have for example 5 insulators every spaced 450mm from each other, on one busbar, and if it's 3600N, each insulator will be stressed with 1620N?
well I didn't know about this relation. Do you have any paper or "name" of this relation, so I can "google" it.
Thank you for your explanation.
No, I didn't try to calculate, because I have no idea how to do it. I try to find some examples on internet, but unsuccesfuly.
I still can't realize, when I can use such red insulators and where is the "boundary" when I must start using busbar system like in the...
Well, I think that my colleagues are wrong. They doesn't have a calculated distance between insulators, they rather put it on the way: "It looks good". But, if you put busbars in such way, the busbar can get deformated during the short circuit and no more usable. Also they use red insulators for...
Well, I have one nice problem. I have 30x10mm busbar, and Isc=30kA. I must place this busbars in electrical panel, but I have a problem with insulators. Can I use a red insolators as it's showed on picture, or I should use special holders for busbar system. Another problem is: When I use such...
Hello everyone,
can somebody please explain me what is the function of this relay. I can't understand it from their datasheet. Thanks.

When the exposed conductive parts (door, protective screen, closing panel, etc.) do not have any devices or equipment fixed on them, the equipotential connection of these exposed conductive parts must be provided using a conductor, minimum cross-section 2.5 mm² as it's stated in IEC (see...
Thanks for reply. The chiller doesn't have tollerance +-10%, his voltage is fixed to 390V. Chiller has 15kVA. The substation is near, so I think that voltage drop isn't enough for chiller. The tap change in substation isn't allowed. Is there any possibilities to regulate this voltage with some...
