Why is there no real solution: Ln4-Lnx=Ln4/(Lnx)
and how do you DO THIS? The question is to find all real roots steps: ln(4/x)=ln(4/x) and then what? Is that right so far?- Jurrasic

PVC (PolyVynyl Chloride) testing ?
Is there any way to test things to see if those things are made of PVC? It's toxic, but if you have things that you are unsure as to what kind of plastic they are made of you would want to know if they are made of PVC. By the way, if you have flip flop shoes, throw them out because almost 100%... -

When are you supposed to take the natural log of both sides of an equation?
It seems this is done randomly, yet it must not be random, there must be some logic to it, but when do you know to do it? What is like a clue or the rules that indicate you can/should take the natural log of both sides of an equation?- Jurrasic

This log problem is throwing me off, out of nowhere
Question is: solve for x ln(x+1)-1 = ln(x-1) tried to do it TWO different ways, and neither is the right way, check this out: first attempt: since LN is on both sides , it goes away and you just have variables, that way sucks because then you get 0=-1 , wrong. second attempt: divide...- Jurrasic

Easy exponent precalc problem. 4^(1+√2) * 4^(1-√2)
Can anyone do the steps to: 4^(1+√2) * 4^(1-√2)? The book says it's 16, but I got 16^-1 steps: foil exponents: that comes out to 1-2 ? Should it not be ? then, just multiply the 4's, or do you add them?- Jurrasic

Shark cyclops article , wondering what they mean? (Link)
Does anyone know what theyre talking about here, link below: Too scared of the pictures to read the article, but can't stop trying to figure out what the article is about. Are they saying that it is a breed of shark, and they all look this way, or are they saying that there is one specific...- Jurrasic

Do you ever get stage fright from people watching you do a math problem
That would be funny if she also had a t shirt that read: "I'd love to agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong." Saw one like that in a catalog and it was pretty funny :)~- Jurrasic

Anything weird happen to you lately?
Over here: The tutor started writing all over my math book in pen to demonstrate a problem! Why would a tutor do that? Especially to a perfectly clean new unmarked book that you may want to sell.- Jurrasic

Do you ever get stage fright from people watching you do a math problem
Like if a tutor asks you to do a problem, or a teacher, even if you know how to do it very well, you just get shy or nervous, or start laughing? Like if they are hovering over you watching you? Sometimes telling them this helps, and they can come back and check after though.- Jurrasic
