Undergrad What is the difference between curly and derivative (d) sign
Dear All, Please see the image below in attachment where Energy is function of K. I want to understand how is it possible to understand the last expression ( dE = ? ). Additionally, what is the difference between curly and derivative (d) sign ? Many thanks to the mentors on this forum Best wishes- masyousaf1

Fortran What is meaning of (5,*), (6,*)and (*,*) in Fortran ?
Thank you jedishfu for your prompt response. I just found the explanation for (*,*). If one wishes to use the write statement to write a statement to the default output, the syntax is write(*,*). SO the thread is closed now- masyousaf1

Fortran What is meaning of (5,*), (6,*)and (*,*) in Fortran ?
Dear Members, Why The characters "(5,*)" should appear after every READ and the characters "(6,*)" after every WRITE ? What is the use of "(*,*)" that can appear with either the READ or WRITE statements. Best Regards- masyousaf1

Process in which catalytic Agent provides -OH or -O (Epoxy)?
Dear all Kindly anyone suggest me any Process in which catalytic Agent provides -OH or -O (Epoxy) and then after forming Product takes back -OH or -O. We have to consider only these functional groups -OH or -O. Thanks in Advance.- masyousaf1

Suggestion for a Useful Product
Thanks for the Reply. Sir, you are right. Larger quantities can not be made. So, I modify my question now. Any important case (simpler is proffered) where surface modification is required ?.- masyousaf1

Suggestion for a Useful Product
thanks for following this. Actually I am studying Grafting of a surface. We can use a theoretical technique that is able to pinpoint and precisely remove a functional group without effecting other functional groups. So to signify the importance of our technique we want to replace a functional...- masyousaf1

Suggestion for a Useful Product
Dear Member and Experts. We are doing a theoretical study. Kindly suggest me any Useful Product that has the probability to form with detachment of functional groups (Preferably -OH, -COOH, epoxy etc) from a surface to any reactant in environment such as H2, N2, H2O etc. or with gases such as...- masyousaf1

Hydrogenation of Graphane: Searching for Unstable Products
Dear Members, We are studying GraphAne. I need to know a functional group on graphEne which on breaking from "C attaches with "H" of environmental hydrogen and the other "H" attaches with the "C" i.e; Hydoregenation of graphane. The new product must be higher in energy (unstable product). I...- masyousaf1
