Distance needed for the car to stop
is the car traveling in meters per hour or miles per hour. your unit notation is ambiguous. but anyway. with the information give, you either have to derive the information from the information you have, in which case you would need to figure out how the coefficient of friction was calculated...- modmans2ndcoming

Boost PC Performance with a Dual Core CPU: Worth it or Not?
bah! Dual core CPUs and even SMP are good for anyone. an OS will schedule processes to run on the two CPUs at the same time which means that your computer will get a process done faster because it gets more time on a CPU than if you had only one CPU.- modmans2ndcoming

MCR Cluster Supercomputer: Ranked 5th Fastest in the World by TOP500
not really. all you need for max performance in the way of the game logic and processing is a 2 GHz AMD 2500+. what kills Doom3 in performance is the video card. you need a video card that has all the modern codec abilities built in and has 512 MBs of video memory in order to run the game at...- modmans2ndcoming

Apple iMac G5: New Look & Design
Macs last quite a long time actually. my cousins school is still using the original iMacs. that is a very long time to use a computer without needing an upgrade. all in ones are not bad things at all, especially in schools.- modmans2ndcoming

Who makes the best complete PCs these days?
Totaling a car has nothing to do with its safety. and at any rate, CR measures Service, support and build quality. those are what matters with a computer. Dell is adequate, but certainly not the best. if you were going with an x86 machine, you should go with IBM or Toshiba.- modmans2ndcoming

Undergrad Composite Functions: Is (f o g)^-1 = gof?
the first part is true, but the send part is false. since it is an and statement the entire statement is false. if it were an or statement, it would be true. I think I am right but I can't remember right now if the mapping from A to B gets changed when you take the inverse or what. either...- modmans2ndcoming

Can an object have a negative acceleration and be speeding up?
it is all based on your frame of reference. that means that if you call the direction that the object is accelerating in the negative direction, then it will have a negative acceleration and be increasing its speed. frames of reference are important parts of setting up Physics problems. it is...- modmans2ndcoming
