Well in the the bottom half I would assume you would have to use u-subsitution but I don't believe the question is asking me to solve the bottom until I prove the top is = b/2?- Mustard

Hmmm... I was thinking of a function like f(x)= 4x-8/x-2 = 4(x-2)/x-2 = 4, that would make a hole at x=2. But would also make f(2) = 4 ? Would it be safe to assume since there is a hole at (2,4) , it is undefined therefore f(2) does not equal 4 ?- Mustard
