Need help with Nodal Analysis. I have the work, just need a step explained.

Ohh wow. Now I feel dumb(er, as many would argue here at pf)... Thanks for the help gneill!

Did I do my loop analysis correctly?

    I fixed it and got: I1 = 3mA I2 = -1mA I3 = -1mA Which gives me a final answer of I0 = 4mA.

Can someone please explain the solution to a nodal analysis problem to me?

Homework Statement Homework Equations V=IR, Nodal Analysis The Attempt at a Solution 1 and 2 in the diagram are the nodal equations. Considering that the left node is V1 and that the right node is V2. I don't know how to get from the nodal equations to step 3. I know that you go...

Engineering Find Voltage in the following circuit

But the initial problem has a current running across the top, which led me to think that it's a current source. Are you sure it's a voltage source? If so, I have absolutely no idea how the nodal equations will work...

Engineering Find Voltage in the following circuit

Homework Statement Homework Equations nodal analysis, kvl, kcl, loop analysis? The Attempt at a Solution Can someone please tell me if my nodal equations look right? Did I redraw the circuit properly? Mainly I'm confused about how to treat that dependent current source at the top.

Did I do my loop analysis correctly?

Homework Statement Homework Equations The Attempt at a Solution If we were to call the bottom right loop I1, the top loop I2, and the bottom right loop I3. I got the following: I1 = 1mA I2 = 6mA I3 = 2mA Which gives me a final answer of I0 = -1mA. Is this correct?

How to Use Nodal Analysis for Circuit Analysis?

    Ah, you're right. Thanks. If that's corrected and propagated down... I get V2 = 4.5V, V1 = -13.5V, V3 = 11.25V So the answer is 11.25V?

Can someone please check my signs on this Nodal Analysis

Thanks dude. I think I'll check out Derive, but probably for the pset after this one. I'd rather work on this pset now rather than learn how to use Derive.
