How to Use Nodal Analysis for Circuit Analysis?

AI Thread Summary
Nodal analysis was applied to a circuit problem, initially yielding a voltage of 3V, which was deemed incorrect. The discussion highlighted the need for accurate formulas, pointing out that the user's formula did not align with the circuit diagram. After correcting the approach, the revised voltages were calculated as V2 = 4.5V, V1 = -13.5V, and V3 = 11.25V. The final answer of 11.25V was confirmed as correct. The importance of showing work for accurate troubleshooting in circuit analysis was emphasized.

It is incorrect.

Your formula (1) doesn't seem to match the circuit diagram. Shouldn't V2 = V1 + 18V?

Ah, you're right. Thanks.

If that's corrected and propagated down... I get

V2 = 4.5V, V1 = -13.5V, V3 = 11.25V

So the answer is 11.25V?

Looks much better! That's it!

Thanks! I really appreciate it.
