Undergrad Direction of a vector relative to another vector?
Hello, I have two vectors, the angle between them is dynamic and constantly changing. I have found a way to calculate the angle between these two vectors. But this angle is always a positive number even if i am looking left or right. How can i get context(wether vector DC,DB,DE,DF according to...- snocavotia

Undergrad Spring constant of a bent pvc pipe
Haha that was a rhetorical length. My real length will be about .4 meters. And my displacement will probably be .5 or .6. And there is an axel through the other end. It is bent over a triangle shaped crossbeam.- snocavotia

Undergrad Spring constant of a bent pvc pipe
I am calculating the initial velocity of a released pvc pipe after it has been bent. I would like to know if i have this correct. Potential energy = Kmgh; I have my mg and it is 50N, so PE = k*50*h; I have been told that k is the spring constant of my bent pvc pipe. Therefore since I have...- snocavotia

Calculate the location of something
on the issue of sonar. it seems very intruiging but there may be a few probelems i need the tracker to be a small bar roughly 1"x4" and can sonar be used to track a single body part?- snocavotia

Calculate the location of something
is it possible to calculate the location of say my right hand and track its motion without using any cameras.(using radio triangulation,accelerometer,etc..) i would like to have some sort of ground sensor. and i only want to track that one object not several, i would like to know the distance...- snocavotia

Undergrad Calculating distance between two Accelerometers
well then i have another question, I've been trying to find a way to track the location of something that is > 2ft away < 10 ft away. is there any way to do this, i have looked at radio triangulation, light, etc but i cannot find anything.- snocavotia

Undergrad Calculating distance between two Accelerometers
Is it possible to have one accelerometer placed at ground level and one in your hand. and without either moving use the difference in Gravity's pull to calculate distance or rather height of the second accelerometer?- snocavotia
