SUMMARY

The discussion centers on a scene from a Hindi movie where a bus hangs off a cliff, prompting a debate about the logic of the hero's instructions regarding passenger disembarkation. The hero suggests that passengers move to the front slowly to maintain balance, but this reasoning is questioned by participants. Key points include the importance of understanding which end of the bus is hanging off the cliff and the implications of passenger movement on the bus's stability. The consensus is that a clearer rationale for the disembarkation order would enhance the scene's credibility.

i saw a hindi movie that had an end scene with a bus with a few passengers involved in a mishap and end up hanging out of a cliff.

the hero tells everyone to move the frnt slowly ... which made sense - in the end there is an old couple at the back and the ladys frozen with fear.

so he asks everyone to slowly disembark ... giving some reason ... that did not make sense -he & his wife speak to the old lady and finally make her walk .

if they gave the reason to make the others disembark then it might have made some sense but he says something about balance which did not make any sense to me. also if he was really bothered about the older couple keeping the others on till they crossed over to the front would be safer - right?

It would help if we knew which end of the bus was hanging off the cliff. I assume the rear, and that the rear passengers walked to the front where they disembarked through the front door onto the ground. The balance of the bus would become safer if the rear-most passengers moved first. The woman remaining in the rear seat would not create a balance problem if more people had departed from the rear than from the front.
