AI Thread Summary
An inquiry was made regarding the definition of an Am-Be source in MCNPX 2.6 without access to gamma spectra. Participants discussed the gamma to neutron ratio for the Am-Be neutron source, referencing a specific scientific article for further details. Additionally, a report on the properties and uses of Americium-241 was suggested as a resource. The user expressed difficulty in downloading the first paper and requested it be sent via email. The discussion highlights the need for reliable data and resources for simulating alpha and gamma reactions.

Hi
I want to define an Am-Be source in MCNPX 2.6
But I don't have Gamma spectra of this source.
Is there any computer code that can simulate (Alpha,Gamma) reaction?
Please Help!

Hello everyone, I am currently working on a burnup calculation for a fuel assembly with repeated geometric structures using MCNP6. I have defined two materials (Material 1 and Material 2) which are actually the same material but located in different positions. However, after running the calculation with the BURN card, I am encountering an issue where all burnup information(power fraction(Initial input is 1,but output file is 0), burnup, mass, etc.) for Material 2 is zero, while Material 1...
