Do many chemists or technicians in the chemical businesses find much use for equilibrium calculations of weak acids or weak bases? In practice, laboratory people can make practical measurements, practical preparations, titrate to a certain pH endpoint, even use a pH indicator material, and can KNOW their materials informally (in a practical way); but do many lab chemists perform equilibria calculations about weak acids and weak bases? Like in the same way as students do in the quantitative chemistry courses? I am not talking about such equilib calculations in just college or university; but in business and industry situations.
