AI Thread Summary
Mentors emphasize the importance of private discussions rather than relying solely on report buttons for addressing issues. Reports are not intended to facilitate conversations and cannot substitute for direct communication. For matters like post removals, it's advised to send a direct message to the mentor involved. This approach fosters clearer dialogue and resolution. Effective communication is essential for addressing concerns within the community.

Reports are not conversations and cannot replace them either. If you want to discuss the removal of the posts, send a direct message.

I found physics forums and used it to ask questions I was unable to get answered from my textbooks or class lectures. Unfortunately, work and life got in the way and I never got further the freshman courses. Well, here it is 20 years later. I'm in my mid-50s now, and in a...
