Congratulations Amazon!

You made yourself unquotable!

I was looking for a link to Spivak's calculus book and Amazon told me that they only show me results that can be shipped to Germany although I was on their American page! What? How in the world should I know where people who read my link here on PF live? And why should I change my shipping address to Japan, only to recommend a book to a Japanese member? The only options were changing my shipping address or keeping it. Yes, I did try to inform Amazon about their shot in the foot with that restriction but I gave up after looking 10 minutes in vain for an email address or a help center to inform them.

I don't know whether PF is still interested in members using Amazon links, @Greg Bernhardt, so it might concern us and them. As far as I am concerned, I consider Amazon as unquotable from now on and will seek other bookstores in the future.
