AI Thread Summary
A recent study indicates that 24% of Americans earn less than $8.50 an hour, prompting discussions about the underlying causes of this wage issue. Participants express a need for clarity regarding the study's source and methodology, suggesting that a deeper examination of the survey could reveal more nuanced insights. Concerns are raised about the limitations of the poll format, which does not allow for multiple causes to be selected, potentially oversimplifying the complex factors contributing to low wages.

Where was this study? Just wondering

Why just one cause?

The Poll doesn't allow for "all of the above", so I didn't vote.

A good look at the survey from which the figures came would be helpful (the poll question itself may be misleading).

Every day we learn new things. Sometimes it's just a small fact or realization. No matter how trivial or random, let's start recording our daily lessons. Please start off with "Today I learned".
