ANSYS MAXWELL SIMPLORER Solution Error

Click For Summary
The user is encountering errors while simulating a three-phase transformer in ANSYS Simplorer, specifically an issue with setting up an external simulator. The errors reported include an inability to establish the external simulator and a simulation execution error on the local machine. A suggestion is made to consider using Maxwell Circuit Design as an alternative for simpler transformer simulations. This approach may resolve the issues faced in Simplorer. The discussion highlights the challenges of using Simplorer for this specific application.

Dear all
I am doing a simulation of a 3 phase transformer. I am adding the excitation using external circuit in Simplorer , I am getting these error ! Can somebody comment on the error .

An external simulator couldn't be setup for simulation. (12:01:33 PM May 02, 2017)
Simulation completed with execution error on server: Local Machine. (12:01:33 PM May 02, 2017)

Hello

I do not use Simplorer so I won't elaborate on this error but have you tried using Maxwell Circuit Design instead ? For a simple transformer simulation it's just sufficient.

I am trying to understand how transferring electric from the powerplant to my house is more effective using high voltage. The suggested explanation that the current is equal to the power supply divided by the voltage, and hence higher voltage leads to lower current and as a result to a lower power loss on the conductives is very confusing me. I know that the current is determined by the voltage and the resistance, and not by a power capability - which defines a limit to the allowable...
