For taking notes in math class on a tablet, users express a preference for apps that simplify the process without requiring extensive typing in LaTeX, as this can be distracting. Suggestions include using a keyboard with math symbols to facilitate easier input. Emacs is recommended for its command shortcuts, which can enhance note-taking efficiency. However, there is a consensus that tablets may not be the best choice for technical note-taking due to their limitations in handling complex mathematical notation effectively.

I just got a tablet and am wondering, are there any good apps for taking notes in a math class? I'd rather not have to type out all the LaTex in class, I think that would be too distracting for me. Is there a keyboard or something that comes with math symbols?

Declare a bunch of commands for shortcuts and use Emacs which has quick commands for all the environments.

A tablet will horrbile to take technical notes on.

Would that be the same sort of idea that was used in 'Heat Pipes' where water evaporated at the processor end and liquid water was returned from the cool end and back along a wick. At the extreme high power end, Vapour Phase Cooling has been used in multi-kW RF transmitters where (pure) water was pumped to the Anode / or alternative Collector and...
