How many particles is science looking for to aid the standard model, if i remember correctly the Higgs figures in more than one model, are supersymmetric particles needed?
The dark matter particle seems the most urgent, so if and when it is found what is the most next urgent?

If the higgs mechanism is the right way to put mass into the equations, then one needs susy or other trick doing the same stabilisation than susy does.

Hmm I am not sure if it is urgent. A WIMP candidate for dark matter could do the trick, but it is not compulsory.

A point about all these extra dimensional compactifyed theories is that they have a lot of content in the Planck scale, besides the graviton.
