Are there any good Nuclear control simulators, that can simulate the feel of the controls, and simulate the response from the reactor?
High-quality nuclear control simulators are essential for training operators in compliance with US NRC regulations following the Three Mile Island incident. The ACME BWR Simulator, version 4.5, effectively simulates the startup of a BWR reactor and includes a built-in "SRO Certification" training program. While it closely mimics the controls and interlocks of an actual BWR plant, it has limitations in simulating heat addition responses. Professional training typically occurs on full-scale simulators that replicate real plant behavior.
PREREQUISITESNuclear engineers, reactor operators, and training coordinators seeking to enhance their understanding of BWR reactor operations and simulator training methodologies.

BFN here, where are you?
