Programs Area to choose for my Master's thesis: theoretical physics/mathematical physics?

Click For Summary
The discussion centers around a master's student planning to specialize in theoretical or mathematical physics, expressing a strong interest in the beauty of mathematical concepts in physics, particularly in quantum mechanics and electrodynamics. The student aims to publish a thesis and pursue a PhD, with interests in special functions related to physics, astroparticle physics (especially photons), and plasma physics. A suggestion is made to seek advice from potential thesis supervisors instead of relying on online forums for guidance.

Hello!
This spring i am going to do my master in some area of physics, something in theoretical physics/mathematical physics.
I have also taken many particle physics, space physics, and pure math courses.
The mathematics in physics like quantum mechanics and electrodynamics is more beautiful and fun (compared to pure math in my opinion) and want to understand the Universe with mathematical equations.

My goal is to publish my thesis, and get into PHD afterwards.
Things I am interested in (a lot of areas in physics) just to name a few:
(i) something where you study some special functions related to physics
(ii) astroparticle physics (studying photons particularly)
(iii) plasma physics

Do you have any tips about what I can do?

Kind regards

Is this not something you should be asking potential supervisors of your master thesis rather than strangers on the internet?

This is my second year in college, and I changed my major to electrical engineering at the start of my second year. I'm taking Calc 1, and I know that I'm going to fail the course. I think there are several reasons for this. I hadn't touched math in an entire year (finished pre-calc 2 in HS), and I heard Calc 1 was the easiest math course, so I decided that taking the class without outside help (tutors or office hours) was enough. I tried really hard and spent hours learning, studying, and...
