Inspired by the previous thread best bands you've neverheard of I decided to make one where people can just list their favorite bands that others will most likely reconize.

Lemonheads!: all albums are good, but "its a shame about ray" is great
Mazzy Star: all albums are GORGEOUS
Suede: "Nude" is my fave album of all time ever
Leonard Cohen: this guys kicks ass
early 311: fab
The Smiths/Morrissey: awesome, totally awesome! Plus, Morrissey is a great lyricist, like Leonard Cohen
~New faves : Bob Schneider, David Garza, Neutral Milk Hotel
