For those seeking an introductory book on probability, several recommendations stand out. "A First Course in Probability" by Sheldon Ross is praised for its clear explanation of fundamental concepts, including random variables and probability distributions, along with numerous examples and exercises. Another notable option is "Introduction to Probability" by Joseph K. Blitzstein and Jessica Hwang, which provides a modern and intuitive approach to the subject. Additionally, for readers in India, KC Sinha's book, often associated with IIT-JEE preparation, is highlighted as a comprehensive resource that covers various related topics. These selections cater to beginners looking to build a solid foundation in probability.

Hi there,

Thank you for your inquiry. I would be happy to recommend a book on probability for beginners. One highly recommended book is "A First Course in Probability" by Sheldon Ross. It also includes many examples and exercises to help solidify your understanding. Another good option is "Introduction to Probability" by Joseph K. Blitzstein and Jessica Hwang, which offers a more modern and intuitive approach to learning probability. Whichever book you choose, I hope it helps you on your journey to understanding probability. Happy reading!
