Boolean Algebra, Finding subscript for P and S

AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on finding the subscripts for P and S terms in Boolean algebra, specifically the equivalent binary numbers for expressions like P?=AB'CD'. A user initially created a table to derive the subscripts but found it tedious for six-digit questions. They successfully determined that P?=AB'CD' corresponds to the binary number 1010, which translates to the decimal subscript of 11. The conversation highlights the challenge of efficiently calculating these subscripts without extensive tabulation. Ultimately, the user seeks a more streamlined method for future calculations.

Ex:
P?=AB'CD'

Homework Equations

No equations that I know of

The Attempt at a Solution

I create an table to find the subscripts for P and S but some of the questions of 6 digit which will take forever to make a table for.
My questions is, is there a shorter way??

P?=AB'CD'=1010=P11 <---Found the subscript by making a table

I found the Answer!

so P?=AB'CD'=1010

1010 corresponds to

8421
1010 Sooo 1(8)+0(4)+1(2)+0(1)=11

so the subscript of P is 11
